Thank You, America

"Remember this in the darkest moments, when the work doesn’t seem worth it, and change seems just out of reach: out of our willingness to push through comes a tremendous power… Use it."

Thank you, Representative Abrams. Thank you people of Atlanta, GA. Thank you, people of Pennsylvania who voted the right way. Thanks for all of us who voted against corruption and dishonesty and chaos in favor of calm adult leadership.

"Let’s speak the truth: People are protesting because Black people have been treated as less than human in America. Because our country has never fully addressed the systemic racism that has plagued our country since its earliest days.

It is the duty of every American to fix.
No longer can some wait on the sidelines,
hoping for incremental change.
In times like this, silence is complicity."

"What I want young women and girls to know is: You are powerful and your voice matters.

You're going to walk into many rooms in your life and career where you may be the only one who looks like you or who has had the experiences you've had. But you remember that when you are in those rooms, you are not alone.

We are all in that room with you applauding you on. Cheering your voice. And just so proud of you. So you use that voice and be strong."

The report from my daughter in NYC:

"just people crying and
honking and
hitting their pots and pans and
chanting

we did it"

"As soon as I landed on the sidewalk in Brooklyn after running across the Williamsburg Bridge on Saturday morning, I knew what had happened. But it wasn’t because of what I instantly heard: a symphony of honks and cheers. It was because of what I saw. Dancing. Everyone was dancing.

In celebration of the victory of Joseph R. Biden Jr., New York City — and so many other cities across the country — found its groove. From that shimmering, unseasonably warm morning until well after dark, cars became boomboxes. Line dances sprouted up from nowhere. There were duets between strangers. Drivers, catching a bystander’s eye, turned up the music to encourage a moment of free-spirited improvisation. (It was a window down kind of day.)"

Is that from you or someone else?

Thank you American for the possibility that you've replaced an effective, America-loving president with a complete moron who will soon be replaced by a moronic socialist...possibly before Inauguration Day.

Nothing but craven lies, Marshal. You’re lost to god.
