Another beautiful Easter season has come and gone and Jeff Street had its annual weird, wonderful Easter service. I've posted a short video of some sights and sounds from yesterday's service below. To the excellent Berry quote, I would add "priests" to politicos and generals -- or pretty anyone in a position of authority.
I'm enjoying the Berry short story collections, btw. Thanks for sending them, Dan. Fidelity is a particularly good one.

And yes, I agree, we must watch the religious sorts, too. Especially our own negative religious tendencies.
Being a deist, I don't belong to an organized religious group, but, if I was a "church-going" woman, I think I'd go to a church like yours.
Looks like everyone was having a great time celebrating Easter and its message. I especially liked the tie dyed shirts; like walking Easter eggs!

You ought to build an advertising campaign around that slogan.
First of all - I much prefer a disorganized church dedicated to love than an organized bunch dedicated to organization.
Second, I actually stopped by Marshall Art's and was impressed by your tenacity, your willingness to put up with all that crap over there. How you even deal with Mark and Neil, Lord bless you, man.
I would join in, but I have taken a vow of chastity where that is concerned, and would, at this point, feel like I was sullying myself.

I had about given up going there (and am trying to avoid most of the other places, just because they've REALLY gone off the deep end and once they're seeing Brown shirts and Nazis and other boogeyman behind each slightly liberal tremble of a leaf on a tree?), but Marshall at some point was lamenting that our type had quit visiting and commenting, so I gave him some more of what he was asking for.
For the most part, I'm trying to just address him, though (and Craig, who is trying to be half reasonable).

Yeah Dan you really do know what to say. I tried to approach it from the "sin" aspect, since that is the only way they seem to understand homosexuality... to try and get them to see even if one approaches homosexuality from the "sin" perspective they are still coming up short and actually becomming the self-righteous God always condemns. They didn't seem to get it however.
