Thanks. I was trying out the zoom, pointing out a good ways to this island on Kentucky Lake.

It was good enough to get the island, but not good enough to get the birds in the trees, which is what I was hoping for...

The good part about it, Dan, is that it lets us imagine whatever kinds of birds we want to, into your beautiful photo. :)

In that case, I suspect that they were Ivory-billed woodpeckers, until recently thought extinct and not seen in Kentucky in decades!

You've got me cracking up! The Ivory-billed woodpecker has been quite the topic up here because the Vermont Institute for Natural Science folks were quite involved in the recent search.
