I haven't understand for a while those conservatives who say simultaneously that God doesn't select everyone and that all have the opportunity for salvation but not that God calls everyone and not that God forces salvation on anyone but that saying humans can accept or not salvation makes humans the powerful ones, etc, etc, etc.
I sort of accepted it on faith when I was a child and a young man, not so much anymore.
